CENTER for THERAPEUTIC TEACHING DISCLAIMER REGARDING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS 

Meetings of the educational seminars  are meant to provide individuals with education and information from the seminar leader and participants regarding EMDR theory and practice.  A licensed professional is the seminar leader.  She/he/they will provide general information about psychological and emotional issues on EMDR, but will not engage in rendering psychological or healthcare advice for any individual or for his or her particular situation. 

The seminar does not provide a medical or mental health service.  It is not psychotherapy.  No diagnosis or treatment of, or professional advice regarding, any medical, mental health or eating disorder or illness of any seminar member will be offered during the seminar.  

The seminar cannot substitute for, and is not an alternative to, medical or other healthcare diagnosis and treatment when a medical, mental health or eating disorder or illness is present.  Seminar participants are advised to seek diagnosis, treatment and advice regarding medical, mental health or eating disorders or illnesses from physicians, psychologists, psychotherapists and other licensed healthcare professionals. Upon request or where the need is evident, the seminar leader will provide referrals to such professionals.
